One of the more challenging things to focus on while running a solo act who’s entire inspiration derives from Halloween, is how to carefully plan out the Fall season of events. After all these years doing Autumns Eyes I feel the need to raise the bar each year with October activities. Back in 2008 I premiered the Feast of the Dead video, and last year made the first public appearance with Autumns Eyes at the Rock and Shock Horror Movie and Heavy Metal Convention.
There are a couple things Im surely set on revealing this October, one of them being the new music Ive recently been discussing here. I always find October to be the perfect time for an album release as it sets the perfect backdrop for what the music represents. Im excited to not only reveal some new music, but also give a peek into where it all started by recording these songs I wrote over a decade ago.
A music video is also in the works for an October release as well. Im planning on shooting footage for the track “Haunting Your Daughter” very soon, and am quite anxious to see the storyboard unfold on camera. Its definitely a unique video concept which Im sure hasn’t been seen before, especially in metal videos. It was originally slated to shoot in the Summer, but we’re now waiting for a bit of fall to peak its head around the corner so we can take advantage of all the autumnal scenery.
Aside from the music and visuals, there will also be more interactive opportunities for fans this year. The annual fan favorite Halloween Costume Contest will launch soon with some bad ass prizes and even more chances to win.
