They are a dime a dozen, and it seems like almost everyone is taking the a/v club from high school to new levels. While it may not be so nerdy, there are quite a few people doing what Im currently working on and building a website to offer their services to the public. Ive had “Beneath the Woods Studio” open to the public for a couple years now, but not quite on the level I would like it to be. Its some what of a no-brainer to do this since it completely embraces my true passion in life, that being creativity.
The site will offer three basic elemental services including audio, web, and photography. Many of you here at the Autumns Eyes site are familiar with the articles I post here and there highlighting audio recording tips, and Im happy to say those will be a regular scheduled topic on the new Beneath the Woods site. Along with audio tips I plan on offering a stockpile of almost everything Ive learned regarding the three subjects which pay my bills, and keep me sane.
The studio is definitely not a million dollar investment with carefully tuned rooms and only the finest equipment lifted from gods hands, but it is built up to my specifications. I prefer using what works for me, and I like to get my hands dirty. I believe a guitar should be used to draw blood from ones fingertips, not as an item that should be polished and handled like a fragile piece of glass.
Some people will be turned away and onto different studios to work with, but thats whats great about this field. There are so many different options for people to check out, thus giving an endless possibility towards what we are all capable of creating. My entry into the creative pool is just one of millions, and all I can do from here on out is be myself and stick to my guns.
