The one question I’m always asked more than anything is “When will Autumns Eyes play live?”. The answer has always been obvious, but hopefully that will change some time soon. In the mean time I wanted to share some of my favorite live acts Ive ever laid eyes and ears on.

Dream Theater

Ive seen these guys almost a dozen times live, and always have my mind blown. There was one show I witnessed in Boston, MA where the band played the entire “Scenes From a Memory” album in its entirety. It still holds the top spot as the best concert I have ever witnessed. They sounded amazing, and were just as deadly accurate with their playing as they are inside a recording studio.

Type O Negative

Its hard to look back with Type O Negative being my favorite band of all time, and know I only saw them live once. I don’t know how to explain it, and have no excuse. I grew up listening to them during some of their most prolific tours. Regardless, I was lucky enough to see them perform a couple years before tragedy befell Mr Steele. It was more like a religious experience for me rather than a concert. There were my musical idols on stage right in front of me, the only thing separating us was a row of fat goth girls.

It was surprisingly easy to chose a couple of my favorite live shows of all time, something I imagined would be a bit more challenging. Feel free to share your favorite live acts in the comments below!
